Bio Chelat Heavy Metal Detoxification
Separating and extracting metals in the treatment of metal poisoning is a process known as chelation. Binding a metal ion to a chemical compound with the intention of forming a ring is known as chelate. The theory is that a ring, being somewhat round, sort of rolls off other atoms and is then flushed out of the system. Removing certain toxins is what Bio Chelat is supposed to do.
World War I saw the use of poisonous gas being used in warfare. Lewisite was the deadly concoction and there had to be a way to find a treatment for it that would remove those toxins from its victims. British Anti-Lewisite came to the rescue and provided a treatment that allowed the toxins to be naturally removed from the body. However, it had very bad side effects.
World War II took its toll on US naval ships which were painted with lead based paint. While refitting those ships our navy guys got lead poisoning. This time an improved treatment was used that had less side effects.
In the 1960s, they modified BAL to become DMSA, and it quickly replaced BAL and EDTA due to far fever side effects. Now it is the US standard for treating mercury, lead and arsenic poisoning.
Research by the Soviets introduced another treatment which treats for mercury and arsenic. Although it is experimental with the US FDA, and a common nutritional supplement.
The ACAM’s claim that Calcium-disodium could be treated with these poison antidotes, they were made to stand down and stop such ads because of lack of sufficient study. However, it is still approved for treating metal poison.
